Sleek, Smooth Styles Can Be Yours
Tired of wasting time blow drying your hair, only to have it turn into a frizz ball at the first hint of humidity?
Frustrated with weak, fine hair that won’t grow long?
Wary of relaxers or straighteners with harsh chemicals?
Ready for the convenience of wash-n-wear hair?
Sounds like you’re ready for a transformation... specifically, a Brazilian Keratin Transformation.
Our Brazilian Keratin Transformation (BKT) uses keratin, the primary protein of the skin, hair and nails, to return hair to its original healthy, shiny, smooth state. BKT is not a chemical relaxer or a straightener, both of which break down your hair’s natural bonds and change its texture.
This replenishing Brazilian treatment reconditions and protects your hair, restores its resiliency, and enhances its natural shine. It is ideal for:
• Curly, frizzy, dull, unhealthy hair
• Chemically treated hair that has been bleached, highlighted, or colored
• Over-processed hair that has been permed, relaxed or straightened
• Fine, weak hair that breaks and won’t hold a style
The treatment takes from 1.5 to 4 hours, depending on the length and thickness of your hair. Your stylist applies a keratin protein and uses a titanium-plated, ionic flat iron to seal it onto the hair cuticle. The keratin moisturizes and strengthens your hair and the iron creates a glossy finish.
The transformation of your hair is visible immediately after treatment, and our guests have been amazed by the results, to say the least. You’ll notice that:
• Taking care of your hair after a Brazilian treatment becomes effortless. Your styling time will decrease dramatically!
• Your hair has more strength, shine and manageability.
• You can style your hair with curls, natural waves, or blow it into a sleek shape.
• Humidity, rain or sweat will no longer turn your hairstyle into frizz!
• The results last two to four months and fade gradually as you wash your hair.
• When you repeat the treatment (every few months or so), you’ll see the improved quality of hair grown since your last BKT treatment.
A treatment ranges from $150 to $600, depending on the length and texture of your hair.

> Frequently Asked Questions
Is Brazilian Hair Transformation a hair straightening process?
No, although it does leave the hair straighter, shinier, and less frizzy. BKT is neither a relaxer nor a straightener, both of which use caustic chemicals to change the texture of the hair. Developed in Brazil, the treatment is also known as the Brazilian Hair Straightening System, Progressive Straightening, Brazilian Progressive Blowout and Escova Progressiva, among others.
Can I have the Brazilian treatment if I’ve previously had Japanese straightening? Yes. You can do the treatment over any kind of straightening.
Can I have the Brazilian treatment after coloring?
Yes. For best results, we recommend BKT after you color your hair.
Will the Brazilian treatment work on highlighted hair?
Yes. You can do the highlights and have the treatment right afterwards.
Will the Brazilian treatment work on virgin hair?
Yes, but the hair must be prepped with a cuticle opener first.
Can I color my hair and have the Brazilian treatment?
Yes. We recommend you color the hair anytime before, same day of, or 2 weeks after a Brazilian treatment.
How soon can I wash my hair after a Brazilian treatment?
On the 4th day after treatment.
Can I use hairspray, gel, mousse, or other hair products on my hair for the first 4 days after treatment?
No.
Can I wear a ponytail or tie my hair?
You must wait 4 days after your treatment to pull up your hair.
What should I do if my hair gets wet during the first 4 days?
Blow dry your hair immediately.
Can I swim in a pool or the ocean after a Brazilian treatment?
We don’t recommend it because it significantly reduces the life span of the treatment.
How long will the Brazilian treatment stay on my hair?
From 3 to 4 months, depending on how often you wash your hair. The effects fade away naturally and gradually.
What shampoo can I use after BKT?
Use a sodium chloride-free shampoo to help prolong the effects of the treatment.
Do I have to do touch-ups?
The treatment washes out evenly, so no touch-up is needed. Just repeat the treatment again in 2-4 months to maintain the look you want.
Can I have a Brazilian treatment every month?
Yes.
Should I cut my hair before a Brazilian treatment?
No. We recommend cutting your hair afterwards.
If I get any ridges in my hair when I sleep, what should I do?
Use either a blow dryer or flat iron to straighten out the ridge in the hair.
Can I have a Brazilian treatment while I’m pregnant or nursing?
No.
How much does a treatment cost?
A treatment ranges from $150 to $600, depending on the length and texture of the hair.
